Regarding an election to the National Institute. “It has been a long time since I promised my vote to Millin for the first vacancy. Thus, I owe it to him to replace La Revellière [La Revellière-Lépeaux had resigned, having refused to sign the oath of allegiance to Napoleon]: which I do without hesitation. As for the replacement of Anquetil du Perron, I believe it is not his seat that you wish to occupy. But you will surely be on our side at the next available opportunity”…
