Edmé COLLINET (1765-1841) flautist and flageolet virtuoso. 2 L.A.S., Paris 1831 and n.d., to Chevalier de Vaeselles; 1page in-4 each, one on his letterhead, addresses.
Rare letters from this flageolet player and letter carrier.

He therefore had to abandon "the undertaking of an operation whose outcome would be doubtful for me, who takes pride in doing well"...
On his letterhead Collinet, Directeur d'Orchestre de Bals et Professeur de Flageolet. Holds Magasin de Musique et d'Instruments (4 place du Louvre). He delays his reply: "Wishing to do things greatly in terms of music and modestly in terms of price for the benefit of the poor, I still have to make contact with various musicians in order to be able to give a pausitive and satisfactory answer"...
