Collective publication of 164 copies, by my artists of the Graphies group. It comprises 8 texts by Gaston Bachelard, Paul Eluard, Jean Lescure, Henri Mondor, Francis Ponge, René de Solier, Tristan Tzara and Paul Valéry. With the exception of the last two, all are in first edition. Following are 16 original full-page illustrations, including 2 lithographs (Christine BOUMEESTER and Henri GOETZ), 7 etchings (Roger CHASTEL, Jean FAUTRIER, Marcel FIORINI, Germaine RICHIER, Jean SIGNOVERT, Raoul UBAC and Jacques VILLON), 6 burins (Pierre COURTIN, Sylvain DURAND, A. FLOCON, Léon PRÉBANDIER, Roger VIEILLARD and G. VULLIAMY), and 1 burin-manière noire (A.-E. YERSIN). These illustrations are unsigned, except for some in the plate. One of 134 copies on Arches laid paper; this one has been enriched with a signed proof on japon of Flocon's burin, an unsigned proof on Arches vellum of Jean Signoret's etching and the original unsigned drawing of this etching. Some wear to the slipcase. Cover browned.
