Small rectangular music box in yellow gold, engraved mainly - Lot 9

Small rectangular music box in yellow gold, engraved mainly with foliage. The hinged lid is set with small turquoise cabochons on an amati background. The inside of the lid is entirely enameled in polychrome, with a view of the glaciers of the "CHAMAUNI" valley (marked lower right), and also reveals a gold openwork grid covering a small compartment. On the back of the case, a very small push-button is used to trigger the music, after winding the mechanism with the enclosed small key (in gold and steel) (very minor accidents to the gold of the case and to the winding key). Probably Swiss work from the early 19th century, bearing the jeweler's hallmark: MB&M (undetermined). Dimensions: 38x28x14mm. Gross weight: 46.6g (works; gross weight of winding key: 0.9g).
