Leather-covered handle with filigree. Stamped and stamped brass mounting. Four-point guard.
Flat-backed straight blade engraved "Mre Impale de Chatt - 8 bre 1863 - Caraber Mle 1854", with double hollow sides and center point. Sheet metal scabbard with two bracelets and two rings, with guard serial number. Lyre-shaped sting.
