Line cavalry officer's saber with battle guard. Leather-covered handle with silver filigree. Brass mounting. Shell guard and straight quillon stamped "DUC" on the underside. Long curved blade with flat back and hollow sides. Gutter engraved "Garde impériale" and signed on the heel "Ve A.K. & F.". Leather scabbard with three cut-out gilded brass fittings. Asymmetrical iron sting. Length: 109.5 cm B.E. Manufactured after the First Empire model with old blade.
