Officer's short saber. Leather-covered handle with filigree. Brass mounting, pommel engraved with a lion's head, long, curved skirt, cruise with diamond-shaped auricles engraved with rocaille motifs. Curved blade with flat back, counter-edge and hollow sides engraved with Cassaignard motifs. Blade length: 57.5 cm - Overall length: 71 cm A.B.E. (blade rubbed) S.F. Circa 1750.
