[Émile ROUX (1853-1933)]. Manuscript, Cours de Microbie technique, 1898-1900; approx. 1480pages in 5 strong small in-4 notebooks (22x17cm), beige cloth boards. Important complete and illustrated manuscript of Doctor Roux's course. Written in highly legible black ink, these notebooks, the first of which was begun on January 5, 1899, are illustrated with numerous drawings, engravings and photographs pasted in the margins or on the full page. The notebooks come from the À l'École de Saint-Cyr stationery shop, 2 place de Rennes, Paris. This Microbiology Course comprises 48 lessons, given mainly by Dr. Roux, and some by his assistants Élie Metchnikoff, Alphonse Laveran, Amédée Borrel, Raymond Sabouraud, Victor Morax... 6 similar notebooks by the same author, lessons XVI-XXIV, XXVII-XXXV and 38, 1898-1899, lessons by Roux, Calmette and Metchnikoff, on anthrax, cholera, typhoid fever, rabies, tuberculosis, leprosy, bubonic plague, tetanus, etc., are enclosed. Plus a small notebook in pencil, signed "Paul".
