Max JACOB. L.A.S. "C. Max Jacob", "17 rue de Gabrielle" Sept - Lot 453
Max JACOB. L.A.S. "C. Max Jacob", "17 rue de Gabrielle" September 4, 1915, to Mlle Valentine Gross; 1page in-8, stamped envelope. He informs her that Paul Poiret "is willing to be agreeable to you by being agreeable to [Edgard] Varèse and in any case, I'm sure of it". He would have come to tell her in person, "if this pain were not a pleasure and on I have been living in penance for twenty-four hours"... [In 1919, Valentine Gross married Jean Hugo].
