HUMOROUS ALBUM. Album of 9 watercolor drawings entitled Hist - Lot 316

HUMOROUS ALBUM. Album of 9 watercolor drawings entitled Histoire extrêmement pénible de Monsieur Cochonnet et de Mademoiselle Bourriquette, [circa 1920?]; title page and 9 plates (24x31cm) mounted on tabs, in an oblong volume in-fol. bise cloth boards. Amusing album about the love affairs of a pig and a donkey, whom Cochonnet will cheat on with a giraffe. 2 watercolor drawings have been slipped into the album, one signed M, presumably depicting the draftsman, one in a walking outfit, the other leaning against his desk in front of which a lady is dancing, raising her dress very high; plus an engraving annotated "Poisson gravé par Michel sur bois" ("Fish engraved by Michel on wood"). Attached is a sketchbook by "Paulette Bouvas (14 years)", 1918 (11 ff,, 14.5x23cm).
