JACQUES LAROUSSINIE (B. 1945)
Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges between 1969 and 1972, Jacques Laroussinie was influenced by the teaching of Jean and Jacqueline Lerat. Considering himself a "non-potter", he nonetheless made the language of clay his own, working with it in the manner of an architect. Inspired by his travels, his constructions play on ruptures and balances, and work on surfaces, perfectly following in the footsteps of the Lerats and making him an essential figure in La Borne.
