FRANCINE DEL PIERRE (1913-1968) Francine Del Pierre's vocation for ceramics led her to Vallauris in 1947, where she worked alongside Albert Diato and Gilbert Portanier at the Le Triptyque studio. This collaboration, marked by innovation and profound creative audacity, was the first significant step in the affirmation of her own style. Her creations, conceived from sketches and then translated into material, reveal great technical rigor. The ceramist generally shapes her pieces with flattened colombins, then covers them with brilliantly hued glazes, often punctuated with graphic and plant motifs in relief or engraved and brushed.
