PAUL BADIÉ (BORN 1945) Born in Cambodia, Paul Badié began training in ceramics at the age of thirteen on his return to France. Attending various workshops and factories across the country, he trained in the field, experimenting with a wide range of techniques and materials, before opening his own studio in the 1970s. Here, he developed a personal production of great mastery. His works, with their smooth contours, pure lines and characteristic glossy glazes, earned him fame and success. In 1985, however, he abandoned ceramics in favor of painting.
