François BROUSSAIS (1772-1838) physician and surgeon. 5 P.A., 1825-1827; 7pages in-fol. Five autograph consultations (drafts) for "gastric embarrassments" (April 17, 1825), "gastro-duodenitis" (September 27, 1826), "weakness and torpor of the right limbs", "gastro-enterocolitis" (January 12, 1827) and "irritation of the skin and subcutaneous collateral tissue" (October 19, 1827). These drafts were then copied by Dr. Pierre-Marcel Gaubert (1796-1839), Dr. Broussais' main collaborator since 1824. 4 of them are written on the back of patient reports from the Hôpital du Vaal de Grâce. We enclose 15 l.a.s. from scholars and physicians: Paul Bert, Albert Gaudry, Joseph Hager, Gaston de Longchamps, Gino Loria (8 to C. A. Laisant, 1898-1905), Antoine Petit (1767), Joseph Récamier, Jean Rostand (to M. Delamain); and 4 manuscripts of remedies from the 17th and 18th centuries.
