This is the first book to appear in Mornay's "La collection originale". Printed in an edition of 1,077 copies, it is illustrated with numerous color woodcuts by Pierre FALKÉ (1884-1947), including 6 full-page compositions. One of 757 copies on Rives vellum, in a very fine original mosaic binding by L. Loir. The decoration, inspired by Falké's compositions, was designed by H. Lehaye. The original gouache used to decorate the binding has been added at the head. It depicts, on the upper part, a boat sailing in a mountain setting and, on the lower part, the left half of the decoration reproduced on the first cover. Spine of dust jacket faded.
