Almost immediately, the many Jewish newspapers available were closed. In their place, the Nazis ordered the creation of a new Jewish newspaper, Das Jüdische Nachrichtenblatt. This newspaper, closely monitored by the Nazi authorities, published discussions and information about the Jewish community (but only those deemed "acceptable" by the same authorities). Many of the articles and advertisements dealt with issues relating to Jewish emigration from Germany, although this door was quickly closed to them. Enclosed: Issue no. 61 of the NS-Telegraph, March 14, 1938, a pro-Hitler newspaper announcing his arrival in Vienna. 4 ff. Tears to folds with loss of some letters.
