Junction of headband and turban embroidered with canetille and gilded silver sequins. Scarlet cloth turban with flat braids and Hungarian knot. Leather visor. False chinstrap in gilded trimmings. Half-spherical caduceus buttons. Brown leather headband. Pink silk headpiece. Headdress base marked in gold by the hatmaker "PEISSON" in Philippeville. B.E. Late Second Empire-Early Third Republic.
