Light cavalry saber, An XI model. Basane-covered handle with brass olive (one missing). Brass mounting, three-prong hilt, two baguette-shaped pommels and quillon curved towards the tip, teardrop shape. B and "Versailles" hallmarks. Antique tie in red cloth. Flat-backed curved blade engraved "Mfture Impale du Klingenthal Juillet 1813", counter-edge, hollow sides hallmarked Krantz, Bick and Lobstein, Sheet metal scabbard with two bracelets and two rings. Punched asymmetrical sting. Length: 105 cm A.B.E. (recent wear and heavy oxidation on the blade).
