CHARLOTTE PERRIAND (1903-1999) - SUCCESSION X., MANTES-LA-VILLE Berger, high version, the low model designed in [1953-1954] for Jacques Martin's house in Tokyo, works acquired from Galerie Steph Simon circa 1960. Pair of tripod stools. Proof in ash. Each with three tapered legs. Used condition. Height : 40.5 cm - Diameter : 32.5 cm Provenance : Succession X., Mantes-la-Ville. Acquired from Galerie Steph Simon around 1960. This pair of stools was part of a complete interior designed by decorator Nicolas Guérin for Mr. and Mrs. X., comprising a set of furniture by Charlotte Perriand (Tokyo banquette, our two Berger stools, table à gorges and suite of chairs) completed by a wall lamp by Serge Mouille and a piece of furniture by André Chetaille and presented under the previous and following numbers of this sale.
