MANUFACTURE Isidore LEROY Louis XIV decor Suite of five strips, including: - two panels featuring two women à l'Antique - three panels with loves carrying a basin. Prints in grisaille and gold, not canvas-backed. 146x52cm (2) and 117x49cm (for the loves) Condition: good, but with minor wear and tear. Folded. Note: This set was presented at the World's Fair in Vienna (Austria) in 1873. The company's catalog, published for the occasion, states "Décor Louis XIV exécuté à la mécanique" to show the spectacular progress made in perfecting machines to achieve a result as beautiful as woodblock printing.
