Jean Besancenot (1902-1992) Morocco, 1934-1939. High Atlas. In Mgouna country, scene of a Jewish girl being tamed. Her costume, including her finery, is similar to that of a grown-up. Bou Malem valley, here wearing a regional diadem. Two Berber women from the Aït Izdeg - On the left, the woollen blanket on the shoulders - On the right, worn on the head. Dades Valley, two Jewish women. Four (4) silver prints (c. 1980), matted, signed in pencil on the mounts lower right. Handwritten captions and negative numbers in pencil inside the mounts below. Medium format: 24 x 18 cm
