Glass snuffbox imitating rock crystal mounted in vermeil, China, 19th century Of rounded form, both sides adorned with a round convex panel, each shoulder carved with a Buddhist lion mask and ring. A vermeil frame adorns the neck, foot and under the masks. The foot is circled, resting on a three-tiered vermeil pyramid base chased with floral friezes. The top of the bottle is circled, embellished with lapis lazuli cabochons and chased on the opening plate with flowers in clouds. En suite stopper topped with a lapis lazuli pearl resting on a green jadeite ring. Height: 7.8 cm
