LE PARNASSICULET CONTEMPORAIN - Lot 107
LE PARNASSICULET CONTEMPORAIN
Collection of new verses preceded by L'Hôtel du Dragon-Bleu and decorated with a very strange etching. Second edition enlarged with nine unpublished pieces no less surprising than the first ones attributed to the same authors and discovered after their death. 1872. Paris, Librairie centrale (J. Lemer, Éditeur). Texts (unsigned) by Paul Arène, Alphonse Daudet, Alfred Delvau, Jean du Boys and Léon Renard. The etching, "La Muse au chat", unsigned, is sometimes attributed to André Gill, sometimes to Delor. Limited edition of 530 copies. One of 500 copies on Hollande paper.
Satirical publication directed against Le Parnasse contemporain.
