Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) Three standing nudes, with facial sketches. (H. de Balzac, The Unknown Masterpiece, pl. IX). 1927 or 1928. Etching. 275 x 190. Bloch 90; Geiser-Baer 131 a. Very fine proof on ivory vellum watermarked "j perrigot", before the bevels and before the steeling, the edges of the copper heavily inked, the corners sharp, annotated "Bon à tirer" and signed in brush and sepia ink along the lower edge of the sheet. Minimal soiling, fingerprints and handling creases (consistent with a trial proof). Full margins [380 x 280]. Final edition of 135 proofs. A. Vollard éditeur. Stamp H. M. Petiet (Lugt 5031).
