Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (1606-1669) Saint Jerome kneeling. 1635. Etching. 80 x 115. Bartsch 102; Hind 140; New Hollstein 142. Fine proof on thin mechanical laid paper, the signature barely perceptible, of a print made by Basan fils or Jean (early 19th century). Median oblique fold crossing the figure's head. Short tear at top edge, penetrating into the subject. Small tear in lower left corner. Narrow margins (approx. 2 mm).
