Second edition, published the same year as the original, of this work by a lieutenant of grenadiers. It is illustrated with an allegorical frontispiece, captioned: "France lifts the veil that covered her and is reborn to Hope." EXEMPLAIRE DE NAPOLÉON III, bearing this autograph dispatch signed by the publisher on the false title: "Hommage au neveu du grand // homme que l'éditeur a connu et auquel // son admiration n'a pas cessé d'être // ardent et constante, comme celle qu'il // porte à Louis Napoléon Bonaparte // ce 15 décembre 1854 // A.
