[SALZEDO (Maggie)].
Alphabet of children's songs. 2nd alphabet of children's songs.
Edited by Gobey Laboratories. Paris. [Circa 1922-1923]. Léon Ullmann Gr. (14,3 x 12,7 cm). Lithographed strong paper folder in brown and pink, containing (25) illustrated and lithographed strong paper plates, for the first alphabet. Lithographed strong paper folder in greyish brown and blue, containing (23) and (11) illustrated and lithographed strong paper plates for the second alphabet.
Two rare pharmaceutical advertising alphabets designed by Maggie Salzedo (1890-1959), although her name is not mentioned.
Published by the engraver and publisher Leon Ullmann, who in the thirties contributed to advertising with the quality and artistic refinement of Tolmer's production. The Gobey laboratories (a contraction of the name of the pharmacist Gabriel Beytout) were bought by Gaston Roussel in 1927.
Two cards were addressed to doctors periodically and, lastly, "an artistic cover". A presentation plate, advertising for the laxative syrup Gobey, and a plate of "Au revoir" frame twenty-four plates of alphabet (no W and X, Y, Z on the same plate), for the first set.
Collection of old French children's songs illustrated in geometric Art Deco compositions, the N is missing and the O is in duplicate, in the second. This one is accompanied by the set of ten plates of old games and its title page in vivid colors. At the same time, Maggie Salzedo realized for this publisher, with the same characters, a series of small trades for the Aspirine-Usine du Rhône.
Fragile set perfectly preserved.

- ABC of all the trades. Librairie Gedalge. Publishers. Paris. [Circa 1926]. Dermont Printing Company. Paris. Small in-8 (19,2 x 18,2 cm). (16) pp. : publisher's red imitation leather paper boards, stamped and gilt title in a double frame on the first board.
A very clean style alphabet book by illustrator and painter Maggie Salzedo. Alternating double pages in royal blue and bright green. An Art Deco style character, like the typography, illustrates the initial. The work with paper covers was inserted in a publisher's matted cardboard. The artist will take the name of Salcedo, from 1931, after his divorce from Salzedo.
Small rubs of use to the cardboard.
