Atelier J. Saudé. 31 rue Buffon. Paris. (38,5 x 28,5 cm). (27) lithographed plates in colors and gold: publisher's cardboard folder, orange morocco paper spine, lithographed illustrations in colors applied on both covers, letters ABC formed by boas and chimpanzees on the first one, chimpanzee on a palette with brushes on the second one, angular closing link of apricot cloth. Very nice painter's alphabet book. One plate of ornate figures and twenty-six plates of letters, lithographed in color and gold by the painter and designer Miarko, Edmond Bouchard, (Kiev 1889-1924 Paris). [His daughter Jeanne Miarko was born in 1913.] On the large gold initial, the animals follow the shape of the letter, they do not always correspond to the initial, only the text at the foot begins with it. All the plates are illustrated on a background of ochre, golden yellow, blue gray, mauve, water green, pink, etc. Meticulous work of the engraver Jean Saudé associated with an artist's work. In perfect condition.
