Announces the creation of a new column in the Mercure de France, to serve as a forum for readers' questions on the arts, letters, history and anecdote.... "To these little inquiries will be attached notes or short discussions, - answers without questions - on such subjects as may be of interest to scholars or the curious"... He himself submits a bibliographical question and publishes a note on what he believes to be the oldest document in French on Shakespeare (1693).
