"After searching long enough, I've figured out how to paint a picture with a chair as the subject. Now we need to know the title: what do you propose? And what do you think of this chair? The New Year will be very pataphysical in France, it seems"... The drawing, in pen and enhanced with red and blue pencils, depicts a chair with a lion's tail [the painting was later called Une simple histoire d'amour].
