[Frédéric-Maurice III de GRAMONT DE VILLEMONTÈS (1713-1783)]. 46 letters (mostly L.A.S.) addressed to him in Nérac, 1753-1783; numerous addresses, some with postmark and wax seal (some letters flawed). Comte de Gramont de Villemontès, who had been a captain in the régiment de Dragons, lived in Nérac. Several letters concern the work he undertook in Lavardac: construction of a quay and port, establishment of a foral, development of the town's descent over the bridge, construction of a church; including 15 letters from Charles-Robert Boutin, intendant of the generality of Bordeaux... Other letters, written from Paris, Le Havre, Cassel, Bordeaux, Sainte-Croix, Brest, Pontoise, Lamballe, Mézières, Versailles, etc.., include the names of La Guiche (about a shipment of wine), Bourbon La Guiche, Dufau de Lamothe, de Lamontaigne, d'Andiran, Marshal de Broglie..., as well as letters from his brother (campaigning in Cassel under the orders of the Duc de Broglie), and his son the Chevalier (campaigning, from Williamsbourg)...
