Christian GUEZ (1948-1988). 4 signed autograph manuscripts; Set of manuscripts and documents by this poète maudit, partly unpublished. [Born in Marseille, where he lived until his death, Guez-Ricord certainly embodies the poète maudit of the fin de siècle, at the crossroads of Gérard de Nerval and Antonin Artaud. Like them, he experienced stays in psychiatric institutions, periods of delirium, but also, archangel, the ability to temporarily save himself through his writing [...]. The difficulty of the work lies as much in its subject matter as in its dispersion. [...] It bears witness to an idea of poetry that must 'scatter its utterances to all winds', and to a representation of the self in the dismembered form of some mystical Orpheus, steeped in religious visions" (B. Conort). L'Annoncée, 1967. Small in-4, 140-page notebook, bound in blue basane. Dated at the end: "Fait à Marseille les 1 et 2 avril 1970", with mailing: "A Jean-Paul Guibbert en témoignage d'amitié". Fine clean-up of this important poem divided into several parts (some of which have been published): L'Ange amuré, Murale, Rosace, L'été d'oubli, Laisses de la croisade finale, Phylactères, Neuf Méditerranées... Cènes, 1969-1971. Small in-4 notebook, 25 pages (rest blank), red cloth boards. First draft manuscript, in which the verses and texts are written in cursive script between February 1969 and June 1971, with erasures and corrections, and an attempt at numbering the stanzas. On the title page, Christian Guez's name is followed by that of Vieira da Silva, probably intended to illustrate Cènes, which was to be dedicated to Yves Bonnefoy. There are some fifty ink drawings or sketches, mainly of faces; on the last pages written, some texts are in English. La Rosalia, Lourmarin 1977. In-8 of 4 ff. in an autograph cover of strong gray-green paper, signed "Christian Gabriel Guez Ricord". Neatly typeset on Italian laid paper, with mailing on last page to Jean-Paul and Danièle. - La Fenêtre donnera toujours sur la fontaine ailée d'un dieu Mercure, Lourmarin 1977.
