Jules MASSENET. L.A. (signed with an initials) [May 1894?, to his wife Ninon]; 4pages in-8, with red pencil underlining. Before the premiere of La Navarraise in London (June 20, 1894). After domestic considerations, a sketch of a basket and the recommendation: "Take precautions with this cold weather!!!", he sets the final deadline for departure for Wednesday June 6: "I'll know tomorrow if the general is set for Tuesday June 5. - That would make it easier for you to take a shorter bath - I'll do what you want - above all your happiness - My presence at the theater can be shortened". He ends lovingly: "Brâmes". Enclosed is a photograph by Nadar (in-8).
