Jules MASSENET (1842-1912). Musical P.A.S., Versailles May 20, 1894; 1page oblong in-4.
Curious album page for the singer Laure Taconet.
It features quotations from two melodies (music and lyrics). The music is by Jules Massenet, and the verses by their authors Georges Boyer (1850-1931) and Paul Collin (1843-1915); all three have signed. The first quotation gives two bars from the melody Les Enfants, based on a poem by Georges Boyer: "Ils sont si doux, ces innocents" ("They're so sweet, these innocents"). The second is from Roses d'octobre, on a poem by Paul Collin:
"Belles frileuses qui sont nées"... For this one, Collin signed "Massenet", and Massenet signed "Paul Collin".

Attached are 2 small L.A.S. from Massenet to Laure Taconet, April 24 and May 8, 1912.
