Auguste RODIN (1840-1917). L.A.S. [to Jane Catulle-Mendès]; 2 pages in-8 at his address 182 rue de l'Université (framed with signed photograph). He has received "the last two pages of your poetry on the sculptor. I have benefited greatly from your genius and your kind friendship, I am unable to thank you. Would a drawing be important enough to show you my grateful memory? Your sympathy, my dear great friend, is precious to the lucky winners you choose. Your ardent poetry is the golden nimbus you place on your Saints. I happily kiss your hands dear Madam, great Madam"...The letter is framed with a photograph (postcard) with autograph signature "Aug. Rodin".
