Balthazar Klossowski dit BALTHUS (1908-2001) painter. L.A.S., Rossinière November 24, to Andrea Kwapisz; 1page in-4, in English. He was unable to reply to his request, which arrived last December, because he had to undergo an operation and had a near-death experience. He was cut off from the world for many months, "a strange and rather painful experience". He returned to life and his work, and sent her the book written by his eldest son. [Stanislas Klossowski de Rola has written several books on alchemy].
