FRANÇOIS EVE (BORN 1954)
François Eve worked in France until 2005 in Saint-Amand-en Puisaye, a village with a centuries-old tradition of stoneware pottery, made famous by the Carriès school. There, he created the Fontaine des Potiers in 1994 and, interested in the history of this stoneware mecca, decided to revive high-temperature firing using a kiln that had been inactive for almost half a century [cf. documentary "Grand Feu en Puisaye" (2004)]. He has since moved to Norway.
