EVA EISENLOEFFEL (1917-2011)
Dutch-born Eva Eisenloeffel, who taught at the Academy of Applied Arts in Amsterdam for many years, discovered La Borne in 1965. This encounter immersed her in the world of French ceramics production and stimulated a profoundly sensitive search. Eva Eisenloeffel's main focus is on human subjects, particularly female, which she shapes in stoneware using a sculptural approach. Her works are small, deliberately unfinished sculptures with sketched outlines, imbued with great intimacy and striking delicacy.
