Bernanos, then staying in Bar-le-Duc (47 rue des Ducs), sends money (rent or debt repayment?) to his correspondent. On May 22, 1925 (on La Nationale insurance letterhead), from Châlons, he promises to send funds as soon as he returns to Bar-le-Duc. On another occasion, he sends the sum of 750F, explaining: "This is only half of what I should be sending you, and I would be most grateful if you would kindly ask Madame Délepine to be content with it this time. She may trust that I will send the balance as soon as I am able"... Enclosed is a letter written on his behalf (Fressin August 27, 1920); 2 telegrams, calling on Dr. Délepine for help [Fressin 4/4/1923), and condolences to Mme Délepine [Auchy-le-Hesdin 2/8/1926].
