We thank Mrs. Antje Neumann-Golle, curator at the Keramikmuseum Bürgel, for confirming that Henry van de Velde, during his German period, did produce several designs for various manufactures in the city. Unfortunately, there are no documents to date that allow us to know which drawings and which factories were involved. However, our vases undoubtedly have strong formal and chromatic similarities with known works of the artist.
