First edition. Fully illustrated with fine lithographs by Nelly Bodenheim (1874-1973). A school of industrial design and a course of study at the Rijksakademie trained the young artist who, very early on, produced works illustrated with silhouettes, while creating sets, costumes, posters and mosaics. One or two lithographed illustrations in color per letter and per page, some of which seem to be enhanced with gum arabic, taking the form of the initial. Without legend, the letter is to be found in the poetry accompanying the illustration. Each page in a fine drawn frame. A well preserved copy.
