The Salon des Cent was a French art exhibition conceived by Léon Deschamps and launched in Paris in February 1894 in the lobby of the magazine *La Plume*, of which it served as an artistic and literary extension. It continued until 1900 and was dedicated primarily to exhibiting and selling prints and drawings. Each exhibition was announced by a unique poster, which *La Plume* commissioned from the exhibiting artist or, in the case of group exhibitions, from one of its contributors; from the very beginning, these posters were collected by art enthusiasts, and some were even autographed by their creators.
