DELAUNAY (Robert) - APOLLINAIRE (Guillaume). R. Delaunay, Paris. *Les Fenêtres*. [Paris: André Marty, 1912]. — Folio, 330 x 260: (5 ff.), 11 ff., illustrated cover. Bound with a red cord. Famous catalog of the exhibition dedicated to Robert Delaunay, which took place at the Der Sturm gallery in Berlin from January 27 to February 20, 1913, and featured a series of paintings titled “Les Fenêtres.” Designed based on a layout by Sonia Delaunay, this catalog contains, in its first edition, the poem “Les Fenêtres” by Guillaume Apollinaire, inspired by Robert Delaunay’s paintings, which would later be included in the collection *Calligrammes* (1918). It also includes the text “I love today’s art because I love, above all, Light, and all men love, above all, Light—they invented Fire,” which opens the catalog and would later be reprinted in *Méditations esthétiques*. *Les Peintres cubistes* (1913). These texts are printed on yellow ochre paper. They are followed by 11 reproductions of paintings by Robert Delaunay, mounted on dark purple paper, including one in color and 10 in black and white. One of the copies has the distinctive feature of having an unsigned color composition by Sonia Delaunay on the cover, pasted over the name “Robert Delaunay” that usually appears there. This composition depicts a sort of rainbow on which the name “Delaunay” appears in letters of various colors, superimposed over the name “Paris” in orange and yellow letters. The copy is in very good condition, except for the first loose leaf.
