Made of veined walnut, adorned with a brass shield engraved with a viscount’s crown, lined with shaped purple velvet, with a single compartment, and the lid marked in gold with “DEVISME 36 BOULEVART DES ITALIENS ARQUEBUSIER BREVETE A PARIS”; it contains: Two Devisme Model 1859 revolvers, six-shot, 11 mm caliber, single-action. Round barrels, signed “Devisme à Paris.” Closed frames stamped with a cross pattée and “DEVISME Bte.” Numbered “No. 48” and “No. 60.” Dark walnut checkered grip plates. Ring-mounted caps.
