He thanks her for sending an image of the Virgin (“l’immagine della Beata Vergine”), although he has received larger ones from Ancona, and asks her to remember him daily in her prayers during the litanies to the Virgin. He asks his niece to convey his regards to the Empress… Enclosed is an autograph letter signed by G. Soprani, Turin, September 8, 1839, donating this letter and explaining that it is addressed to Elena Chiaramonti, a Benedictine nun. Formerly in the Maurizio Seyssel collection of Aix.
