He sends him his short work *The Elements of Banking*, published in 1858, which was quite popular and was used for the examinations of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland: “a small work of mine, *The Elements of Banking*, which I am glad to say has been rather popular. It has been recommended for the examination of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland”… He is scheduled to give a lecture on political economy at Cambridge, which will help make his views better known. He would be grateful if Block would write a review of *The Elements of Banking* in the August issue of the *Journal des Économistes*.
