Set of three pairs of wood panels, Iran, early 20th century Six panels of painted, gilded and lacquered wood that can be assembled in pairs, perhaps formerly mirror or small furniture panels. One pair features figurative decorations of men and women standing or seated on thrones in medallions, beneath a crowned head flanked by wings, the backs adorned with a gol-o-bolbol decoration in an arcature with a yellow background. The other two pairs represent on both sides a gol-o-bolbol floral composition under an arcature or in a medallion with a white or colored background.
