Rear plate engraved "Dépôt Central" and round-bodied hammer. Unmarked brass fittings. Marbled walnut stock, stamped "2". Iron ramrod with hollow head marked "I". Barrel length: 59.5 cm - Overall length: 96 cm B.E. With a model 1842 bayonet. Bronze handle with square push-button. Iron crosspiece. Punched Yatagan blade. Marked on the back "Mre Impale de Chatt Avril 1862 S.B. Mle 1842" (pitting). Sheet-iron scabbard. Length: 69.5 cm A.B.E. Similar to the 1829 artillery model, but mounted with a rear lock.
