Cuirass for a cuirassier officer of the Garde royale. In iron plate, with brass rivets. Breastplate motif (reassembled) with the great arms of France and Navarre (small misses). Shoulder straps with figure-of-eight rings (one detached), unlined, fleur-de-lys clasps, embroidered red morocco ties. Rear lion's head shoulder straps. Later embroidered red morocco belt with brass buckle (heavy wear). A.B.E. (belt, shoulder pads and radial motif reassembled). Restoration period.
