Spanish flintlock shotgun. Round barrel with thunderbolt sides, decorated with silver thunderbolt inlays and stamped "ARGUIANO". Miquelet-style lock engraved on the hammer foot and bassinet surround, signed "CHURRUEA". Cut-iron fittings engraved with rocaille motifs. Madrilenian-style walnut stock trimmed with a velvet cushion with silver braiding (chips, notably around the lock). Mismatched iron ramrod. Barrel length: 87 cm - Overall length: 127 cm A.B.E. (two modern screws on the counterplate, one missing). Circa 1760-1780.
